Folding David

Folding David is a computational design and fabrication workshop exploring how complex forms can emerge from simple geometric systems. Using the classical sculpture of David as a reference, participants reconstruct the figure through triangular mesh generation and folding strategies, translating digital geometry into physical form. The workshop introduces computational modelling techniques that demonstrate how basic geometries, when aggregated, can produce highly complex and expressive outcomes, highlighting the structural and formal potential of triangulation.
